Flynn Canada makes Strategic Investment in RESCo Energy’s Solar Business

Toronto, Ontario – Flynn Canada announced today that they have concluded a strategic investment in RESCo Energy Inc., creating Canada’s first solar-focused Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) firm.
“The Ontario solar industry has been lacking an experienced engineering and construction firm that can underwrite the delivery risk of designing and building its solar arrays”, says Fidel Reijerse, President of RESCo Energy. Mr. Reijerse goes on to say that, “Flynn brings the balance sheet and bonding required for us to provide the industry with the confidence it needs to construct projects that have been awarded under the Feed-In Tariff Program”.
The Ontario Power Authority, according to its November 9th update, has executed over 1,000 contracts for roof top solar generating systems which represents approximately $1B of investment in EPC services.

This deal brings together the balance sheet, bonding, experience, relationships, and back-office infrastructure required to develop the RESCo Energy offering to meet the growing Ontario market. RESCo is focused on delivering commercial solar roof-top projects, primarily in Ontario.
