Fighting Diabetes

Diabetes touches all of us, in some way. Over two million Canadians suffer from this disease – Flynn staff and family members among them. With that in mind, we've chosen to support the Canadian Diabetes Association through donations and fundraising initiatives. We're helping the organization combat diabetes with an annual donation of $100,000 per year. We also match any additional funds raised by Flynn employees.

In 2007 we joined forces with the CDA as the presenting sponsors for the NHL Awards, an event that acknowledges excellence on and off the ice and helps raise funds to fight diabetes. At the ceremony, the NHL Alumni Association presented us with a jersey, commemorating our support for the CDA.

In 2008, through the fundraising efforts of Flynn employees, $75,000 was donated to the University of Manitoba diabetes research efforts.
